William Citrone Obituary

William Michael Citrone

William went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday September 18th 2022.

He passed away in his home in Nicolaus, California at the age of 74.

Born to William and Bernice Citrone on May 26th 1948. William spent his childhood having fun with family and friends. He especially enjoyed playing sports and fishing as a young boy. William graduated from Long Beach Poly High School in California in 1965.

After graduation he enlisted into the United States Navy. He proudly dedicated the next several years of his life serving our country as a sailor during the Vietnam War. During his service he received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal W/Device, & The Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He received an Honorable Discharge at the completion of his enlistment.

Affectionately known as Uncle Bill to all, including animals, he was at his best when spending time with family and friends. Uncle Bill loved to laugh, often at himself, being goofy and telling stories of his adventures. You were sure to be greeted with a smile, kindness, and as a devout Christian he related a scripture to the topic of conversation.

While we will miss your laugh, antics, and presence, you are now at peace. Go rest high on that mountain, our loved one and friend. You are forever in our hearts and memories.

William is preceded in death by his father William, his mother Bernice, his brother Jimmy, and his brother David.

Uncle Bill is survived by his California family Dana and Lisa of Nicolaus, great nieces and nephews Ashley, Ricky and wife Hailey, Emma, and Dane, great great niece and nephews Jade, Noah, and Kyson.

His brother Tony and wife Hildegard Citrone of Germany and niece Lisa.

His brother Tim and wife Eileen Citrone of Kentucky, niece and nephew Heather and Justin, and great nephew Greyson.

His brother Jack and wife Carol Surbrook of Maryland, niece and nephews Liane, Anthony, Michael, and Daniel.

His sister Patti and husband Steven Cary of Tennessee, nieces Jenny, Stephanie, and LeAnn, great nieces and nephews Sarah, Callie, Sophie, Maycee, Chase, Blake, Ethan, Carson, Joshy, and great great nephew Kolsen.

In lieu of flowers we would like to ask folks to make donations in his honor to the Toys for Tots program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve as it was a charity that he held dear to his heart and was a recipient of their generosity when he was a child.

Thank you to all Family and Friends.

God Bless You All.
