CHARLEY MOSQUEDA Obituary

GALT, Calif. —

Two men were killed Tuesday morning in a crash involving three big rigs and a pickup truck on Highway 99 in Sacramento County, the California Highway Patrol said.

A 33-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both from Galt, were killed in the crash, officials said.

The crash happened just before 7 a.m. near Ayers Lane just south of Twin Cities Road. Three big rigs, including a FedEx truck, were involved in the crash.

According to CHP's preliminary investigation, traffic had slowed to less than 5 mph when the pickup truck was hit from behind by a big rig, slamming it into another semi.
